How to make a Twister Ice Cream Cake using a 3D printer

 This is an ice cream cake with a lot of custard.

 I made it using a Makerbot Replicator 3D Printer (available at Amazon for $99.99) with the following dimensions: 16x16x8cm 12mm diameter, 4mm tall, 3.5mm thick 2.5×3.5cm 2mm diameter 1.5X2.0cm 1mm thick and it took less than 3 hours to print.

The final result was a very nice looking ice cream dessert that will be very popular with your guests.

You could also make this ice cream with a standard 3D printable plastic cone instead of the 3D printed plastic cone.

Here is the recipe:Custard Cake: 3 cups of custards 2 tablespoons of water, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 1 tablespoon of almond extract, a pinch of cinnamon, a handful of crushed graham crackers, a teaspoon of ground nutmeg, a splash of milk and 1 tablespoon each of flour, sugar and saltTo Make the Cakes:Preheat the oven to 200C/Gas mark 6.

Line a baking sheet with baking paper.

Fill a large mixing bowl with the custard mixture.

Place the baking paper onto the mixing bowl and then spread it around with your fingers.

Add the water, vanilla extract and almond extract to the custards mixture and mix until well combined.

Using a whisk, beat the custARD mixture on low speed for about 3 minutes until the mixture is fluffy and smooth. 

The custard should look thick, but it won’t be too thick. 

Add the grahamcrackers and cinnamon, mix well. 

Using a large spoon, mix the flour and sugar in the same way. 

Slowly add the milk and mix well with your hands. 

Divide the custardy mixture into 2 equal portions.

Mix the flour mixture evenly with the cooled custard and then mix on high speed for another minute. 

Pour the batter into 2 separate custard shells, filling the top of each with the batter.

Bake for about 20 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean.

This is when you can enjoy the ice cream. 

Remove the icecream from the oven and then place a skeer in the centre of each custard shell. 

Slice the iceballs in half and remove the custies and the grahm crackers.

Top each with a spoonful of the custy batter and enjoy!
